The automated monitoring of selfcare with mobile products takes a leap forward as Mega Electronic's KOTO™ total health care management platform receives a CE-certificate. KOTO has been developed in cooperation with international healthcare and selfcare professionals to meet their demanding requirements and to further develop patients' selfcare needs.

KOTO has been classified as a class IIa medical product, which requires the manfucaturer to have a certified quality control system (MDD certificate). The certificate was granted by VTT Expert Services.

"In healthcare solutions it is extremely important important that customer needs are taken into account from the beginning of the development of the product. Healthcare software solutions are nowadays considered as a part of medical equipment, thus, it is natural for us to design the products in a way they comply with all the regulations. KOTO is the first platform, which is designed for home and selfcare of patients, which meets these standards", says Arto Remes, the CEO of Mega Electronics.
