Jenkatehdas, a Finnish company offering live concerts on the web, has raised an angel round from Tekes, Jyrki Kontio and Topi Löppönen, two experienced software entrepreneurs.

The full amount raised has not been disclosed, but ArcticStartup reports that Tekes invested €140k. The investment will be used for growth and international expansion. Jenkatehdas plans to launch their global site LiveMusicStage.com in September 2011 at the Popkomm conference in Germany.

Jenkatehdas is an online service that allows people to get a more personal and interactive experience by watching their favorite band play live in a studio. The company sells tickets, generally priced at 5 euros, to a live stream of the gig. The most innovative part of the service is providing users the opportunity to interact with bands during the gig. Through Jenkatehdas, fans can send messages and vote on songs in real time. The company also plans to offer backstage videos before the actual gig.
